Biorepository and Biomedical Informatics Core
The Biorepository and Biomedical Informatics Core is responsible for establishing and maintaining a standardized process for securing and storing biological specimens and clinical data that supports the Joint Institute's research. This critical function facilitates information sharing and manages project details such as patient consent, sample tracking and data access privileges, enabling research teams to focus on collecting and analyzing data. The Biorepository and Biomedical Informatics Core also provides a robust technical infrastructure to support data management and sharing of translational and clinical research. All Joint Institute programs and investigators are required to follow the standards established by this core.
